we had a really nice stay in mahe island short walk to a beautiful tropical island. had a fridge, a dining area and a seating area, that worked great for us.

Rather small room.

villa kayola - self catering was an amazing experience! the host, jimmy, was incredibly helpful and his creole dinner was delicious. the apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. jimmy went above and beyond to show local hospitality, from giving me fruits to giving me a lift to the beach. the sunrise view from the room was breath-taking.

Weak wifi signal.

My stay at Villa Kayola was absolutely wonderful. I stayed for a few days and the manager was incredibly helpful, even offering to drive me shopping. The hotel was very clean and the location, although a bit difficult to reach at the top of a hill, offered a stunning panorama. The manager also provided a room for me to leave my luggage and freshen up before my evening flight. Close to the airport and great value for the price. Definitely recommend.

The rooms at Villa Kayola are absolutely amazing! Some units have balconies with stunning views of the sea or mountains. The private bathrooms with showers are so convenient. The apartment is equipped with a stovetop, perfect for cooking meals. The free WiFi and air conditioning kept me comfortable and connected. And some units even have a terrace for enjoying the outdoors. This place is a total winner!

But, if I had to pick one thing, I guess some might not be so thrilled about the soundproofing. But hey, it's just my personal opinion.

During my Christmas stay, I was pleased with the breathtaking view from the property, situated on top of a mountain. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, embodying true creole spirit. the apartment was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The need for a car to reach the guesthouse. However, this did not affect my experience as I had anticipated and rented a car in advance.

The good wifi connection is an added bonus.

Be prepared for a strenuous walk up and down the steep roads if you don't have a car.

The friendly hosts, Mr. Jimmy and his beautiful wife, made us feel like family. The meal they prepared for us, including rice, fish, creole sauce, lentils, and mango salad. The apartment was clean and well-furnished, with a modern feel. The peaceful location on top of the mountain made it even more special. Highly recommended for low-budget travelers!
